Available Anytime You're In Hawaii

Hawaii is one of the nice locations I want to visit. So majestic with its white sand, blue waters and friendly people. It's better if you have your favorite camera with you to take pictures. And its best to have a macbook around to upload them instantly, and share with friends and family. Hawaii Mac rents these for very little money as well as no deposit on your card!

Filipino Stew

Filipino dishes are mostly made up of simmered pork or beef with vegetables and special sauces. Philippine cuisine have several influences. It evolved over centuries from its Malayo-Polynesian origins to a mixed cuisine with many Hispanic cultural influences, to the many Latin American and Spanish dishes brought during the Spanish colonial period.

Famous Filipino Stews:
Menudo
Beef Steak
Beef Mechado
Pork Binagoongan
Pork Adobo

The featured Stew above is called Pork Afritada. You can mix chicken and pork with this dish. Usually this is just simmering in tomato sauce. I have a better way. It's just a matter of taste and how will you make use of the ingredients to get that distinct aroma and flavor.
Filipino pride---Afritada. There are 2 easy cooking techniques to be done. Inadobo sa Suka and the Main Afritada Recipe.

Servings: 4-5

Your Ingredients:

For adobo

2 cups water
1 cup vinegar
6 cloves of garlic (mashed)
2 pinches of pepper 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 K Pork cubes

Main recipe

4 medium potatoes (cut into desired shape)
1 medium carrot (cut into desired shape)
1 medium green or red bell pepper
5 cloves of garlic (chopped)
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 small can of green peas or 2 tbsp of fresh
1 200g Del Monte Tomato Sauce (filipino Style)
2 tbsp cooking oil

How To:

1. "Inadobo sa Suka" style to tenderize meat and to get the sour flavor.

In a sauce pan, put all Adobo ingredients including the Pork. Boil until Pork is tender. If too sour, add enough water to balance.
Add potatoes if meat is semi-tender.

Note: adding water does not mean to eliminate the vinegar flavor.
You can also fry the potatoes in a separate pan.

When all nice and soft, set aside with the adobo mixture.

2. Main Afritada Recipe

In a separate pan, saute the chopped garlic until semi-golden brown
add chopped onions
add the pork and potatoes from the adobo
add carrots
pour the adobo mixture. Add water if necessary
add green peas
simmer for 5- 7 mins
add tomato sauce
salt and pepper to improve taste
simmer again for another 5-7 mins
add bell pepper
ready to serve

The taste? The sour flavor gives the recipe the "twist" and makes it different from the rest. The old-fashioned recipe uses Atsuwete or Annatto seeds for coloring. I prefer using tomato sauce it adds more flavor. I would recommend red bell pepper because of its distinct flavor.

Food Trip Friday---Dinner at Yoshinoya

Friday of last week was considered to be a holiday. If its a long weekend, there's so much time to bum and dine around. That night we decided to go out and have dinner at Yoshinoya Robinsons Galleria. If I want to taste something different, but not too pricey, I go to this restaurant.

Chicken TeriyakiJumbo A--- Gyudon +Chicken Teriyaki

The highlight of my every Yoshinoya dining experience---Red Ginger---that goes with every Gyudon order.

trivia:

Yoshinoya first opened in 1899 at the Nihonbashi Fish Market. When the market was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake, Yoshinoya moved to the new Tsukiji fish market in 1923, where Yoshinoya maintains a ceremonial "No. 1 Store" to this day.

One of the safety measures taken online is address verification. Most neglected transactions are caused by faulty address verification. From Old To The Latest

We got married 2004. Back then DVD videos are still expensive to be part of a wedding package. So my husband and I decided to use the usual VHS tape video package and opted to have it trasferred to DVD later on. We used our full wedding video as additional giveaways to our Sponsors and loved ones. Especially to those who gave their warm wishes all the way from the U.S. I did the whole cover for the DVD. I really wished that I was more exposed to computer programs and hoped for a better, and a more presentable cover for both the DVD and the case.

Our DVD reached the U.S where some of our relatives are staying. And they mentioned that they know a place that specializes on DVD Mastering in Boston. There's a fast track of CDs being replaced by DVDs, DVD Mastering Boston duplicates are clearer version. It can be your old audio or video. CD Mastering Boston offers the highest and the most fulfilling products.

Food Trip Friday--- Crunchy Breaded Pork

Cut pork into thin strips, preferably pork tenderloin. Coat with egg and tempura crumbs! Sweet Chili Sauce goes well with it too!

If you want real crunch, don't coat with flour or starch.

Best part, mix excess crumbs from fried pork with the sweet- chili sauce.
It can go with rice, or as finger food while watching your favorite movie.

Goop

-This Is Not A Paid Ad-

I like to share a site that I visit lately. http://goop.com/ by Gwyneth Paltrow...
Once I saw her site, I didn't hesitate to blog about it. I'm all praise to my newly found "place of zen" online.
From recipes, to her travel experiences, fashion and self- awareness, her recommended reading materials, flicks. GOOP is just a simple website at a glance. Yet it is filled with colorful information which can be very handy. That includes cooking videos with Gwyneth herself!!! Not to forget how elegant each feature is presented.
Whatever you want to know about Gwyneth Paltrow, the answer you're looking for might just be there... And yes I do wonder what famous people do regularly when they're not busy. I'm happy that Gwyneth thought of sharing the other side of her life.
Visiting her site felt like I'm just a block away from chatting with her.

Salmon Salad

This entry is a repost from my other blog. I'm sorting out the food entries I made earlier and plan to transfer some here in my very own food blog. Here's one of them. Salmon (particularly the Pink Salmon) has been part of my food shopping list. It is the smallest and most abundant of the Pacific Salmons. This fish doesn't require so much to improve its taste. Naturally, it is rich in flavor. This is a borrowed recipe from a Travel magazine.

The original recipe has the ff:
6 tbsp olive oilsalmon fillet
2 tbsp garbanzos
2 mid sized tomatoes (chopped)
2 tbsp pitless black olives (sliced)
1 tbsp choppedparsley
2 tbsp fresh orange juice1tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. capers
1 tsp.grated orange peel
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tbsp chopped basil

How to:
Stir fry salmon fillet in olive oil with the rest of the ingredients except the chopped basil. When fish is cooked, set in a platter, top with chopped basil.Viola!

My What's Cookin' recipes are all based on the available ingredients I have in my pantry, freezer and crisper. I choose the best substitute to the ones that I don't have. And yes, there are also times when I had to go out to buy, just in case I come up with nothing from my own kitchen drawers.

My version:
2 slices of Pink Salmon
2 mid sized red tomatoes (as followed)
3 calamansi (instead of lemon)
fresh basils ( as followed)
romaine lettuce
2 tbsp orange juice (not fresh)
6 pcs. baby corn (chopped)
3 tbsp olive oil

My How to:
1.Stir fry all ingredients with the salmon fillet in olive oil except for the chopped basil and lettuce.
2.In a salad platter, mix the lettuce and basil together.
3.Once the fish is cooked, mix it all with the greens.Done! This is a very healthy dish. You can also eat it with rice or any form of carbs/ and protein you want. With this salad alone, its already quite heavy. You can also add walnuts, almonds, fresh mushrooms. Anything that your heart desires. If you don't have salmon, any fish fillet will do.

Happy Eating!

Diesel TurboCharger

Diesel cars requires the lowest car maitenance. One of the car parts run by Diesel is called a diesel turbocharger. Turbocharger is a diesel part driven by the exhaust gases to increase the power of the engine by enabling intake of more air and pumping them into the cylinder for combustion. Turbochargers could deliver the power on demand from the engine. This is the only reason sporty drivers look for turbochargers as an add-on to their old vehicles.
If you're bound to replace this part, look for a source that offers only genuine OEM replacement parts and quality aftermarket parts to their valuable customers. Good investment means quality assurance.

Genuine OEM replacement parts and quality aftermarket parts should be under warranty. Customer-friendly and knowledgeable technical people are there in 5 days a week to assist you in buying the right part. You can count on for quality parts and quick customer service.

Our Healthy Option

Starting this coming Monday, my husband and I agreed on changing our family's diet. We noticed that we're both gaining too much weight. Staying healthy is a big contributor for our son's/ children's future. Aside from that, we want to grow old and healthy together.
Organic food is great. But I noticed that it is a bit more expensive. Eating Red Rice is a good way to start. But if it will go over your budget... Fish and vegetables are going to be our #1 priority on the food list.
I don't mind giving extra effort researching on new dishes that will make our meal heavenly. It's a good thing that my son loves fish. He would choose fish over any pork or beef dishes. Part of that, other seafood from squids, mussles and the likes will also be part of it once in awhile.
Supplements are just secondary. Nothing will beat the nutrition we get from green leafy vegetables and white meat. Not to forget, fresh fruits. Especially those high in Vitamin C.
Of course we will still be needing some red meat. I plan to use red meat in sauteing veggies, making meatballs for our spaghetti or soup. I boil the ground meat (even if lean) first until cooked to get rid of the excess fat.
Healthy living comes with great discipline.
If you don't have the will power to beat have it, here are some tips to follow: -source-
Keep portion sizes small.
Choose a healthier side dish.
Go for the greens
Opt for grilled items
Watch what you drink

Have it your way. Don't settle for what comes with your sandwich or meal. Ask for healthier options and substitutions. For example, ask for reduced-fat mayonnaise or mustard on your sandwich. Or at a fast-food Mexican restaurant, request salsa with your meal instead of shredded cheese and nacho cheese sauce. Try to avoid special dressings, tartar sauce, sour cream and other high-calorie condiments.

Easy Search

Were you able to watch the movie Streetfighter? Well, the last version which was shown last April revived the connection from the video game. After I watched it, all I wanted to do, is to try and play Streetfighter again. Search Rapidshare Links has several Streetfighter links made, including the movie. Search Rapidshare Links was created in accordance with all users' requests who regularly update links base, functionality , pleasant design and good work capacity, for the relatively short period of existence it managed to find its own place in the internet community.

This is my first time to actually search for a downloadable movie online. And yes, it is very convenient. I found what I have been looking for. Upon opening their web page, various links on games, movies, music will surprise you.
